OTR Magic App

Working alongside local SA agency, KWPX, we created magic for OTR’s new Fuel Pay App.
Objective

The goal of this project was to showcase OTR’s Fuel Pay app through a humorous and engaging television commercial (TVC). Working alongside the KWPX team we needed the outcome of this to highlight the app’s key features.

Problems

We needed to capture unspoken humour through visual cues and acting, seamlessly integrate visual effects while managing them in post-production, and ensure the message was clear while leaving room for creativity and humour.

Process

Using a combination of cinematic techniques, including locked-off shots, quick cuts, and post-production VFX, the crew brought the concept to life. The Stepney team managed Pre-Production, Production on-set and Post-Production for this campaign.

Outcomes

The result was a humour-driven television commercial that showcased the features and simplicity of OTR’s Fuel Pay App.

  • A seamless and quick-turnaround delivery for the Agency and client, resulting in huge results across app downloads and in-app purchases.

Stepney Studios step up in every way. That might sound pithy, but the team brought out all the trucks, and tracks, and skrims, and skills for this shoot. I found a great director / collaborator in Thomas who understands the nuance needed for great on-screen performances while balancing all the commercial realities of the ad. Was such a smooth day and slick result for our client that drove huge results across app downloads and in-app purchases.
